The Centers for Disease Control is recommending those under 18 years old to get their flu vaccinations this season. With the increase in demand, will there be enough vaccination to go around? According to the Muskingum County Health Department they will have a limited supply, 400 doses to be exact. At the end of this month the health departmet will offer the vaccination only to Muskingum County residents over 65 years old or to those with a chronic illness. On the other hand, the Rambo Memorial Health Center will be offering flu vaccinations to any county resident 6 months old and older. Cindy Harrison, the Executive Director of the Rambo Memorial Health Center says they'll be supplied with 13-thousand flu vaccinations this season. Vaccinations at both locations are free of charge to county residents. Both agenceis are asking those on MediCaid to supply their MediCaid cards. Vaccinations will be given at the Rambo Memorial Health Center beginning October 15th., the Muskingum County Health Center will offer their flu vaccinations at the end of the month.
