Even though the Linden Avenue Dairy Mart is open 24 hours a day, operations were shut down earlier this morning after an armed robbery took place around 4:30 a.m. Zanesville Police described the suspect as a white male wearing blue jeans, a light colored shirt and a white article of clothing over his head. The suspect was carrying an unknown type of firearm, demanded money from the clerk and then fled toward Forrest Avenue. Det. Ric Roush says police haven't ruled out a connection with the robbery that took place at the Duke & Duchess gas station a week ago on Blue and Adair, but says both crimes are still under investigation. Dairy Mart employees say they're glad no one was injured during the robbery and say the store will remain open 24 hours a day. Anyone with any information about the robbery should contact the Zanesville Police Department.
