The Apostolic Christian Church on Ridge Road opened their doors to the community Saturday afternoon for their second annual Soup-Bean dinner, stressing friendship and giving. The event was free to the public. It included homecooked food served by members of the church, games for the kids, entertainment and even a clothing drive. Every aspect of the event was free to anyone who attended. Minister of the church Elder Nathan McDonald said he wants the community to know how warm a church they are. He said this event is a way to invite the community in and talk to them. The event ran from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
