A southeast Ohio farmer is leaving tomorrow for Iraq, hoping to prevent a war. Peggy Gish is part of a peace team comprised of Americans and Canadians that is opposed to a United States attack on Iraq. Gish says the group opposes conflict because it will bring more suffering for the Iraqi people. Gish, who lives in Athens County, says members of the group plan to live among the Iraqis and won't leave the country even if a war breaks out. Gish says she hopes the group's message of peace reaches President Bush. She says the group supports the Iraqi people, not leader Saddam Hussein.
