A big grant is headed to Zanesville to fight tobacco use. When the Foundation learned about the efforts of the Muskingum Valley Tobacco Coalition, it awarded the Coalition $262,000 to continue educating people through a program about the danger of smoking. According to Bonnie Kirsch, Health Education Director at the Muskingum County Health Department, the program is set to being November 1st and run through next year, October 31st, 2003. The money will be used for other educational programs as well as advertisements to warn people about the dangers of smoking.
