Newark Drug Raid

Area law enforcement officials conducted a raid Friday uncovering large quantities of crack-cocaine, as well as money in Newark. Agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force made up of memebers of both the Newark Police Department and the Licking County Sheriff's Office indicated that trafficking of cocaine was ongoing at a residence located ar 16750 Marne Road. During the entry to the residence officers necessarily put down a pit bull dog to ensure the safety of the officers. While inside the residence two suspects were arrested and transported to the Licking County Justice Center for Incarceration. The two suspects were David and Amber Norman of the residence. Later on Friday another raid was conducted as seven Newark residents were arrested for previous warrants in the ongoing investigation.
