When the City of Zanesville decided to tear down parts of Greenwood Avenue to make way for a revitalization project, people knew remnants of the old neighborhood would have to be discarded somewhere, but residents say they didn't know disposal plans included using a wooded lot off Arcadia Lane -- just off Route 60 South -- until they read the fine print in the newspaper on Tuesday. Residents and business owners say they were shocked to find life altering information in the form of a legal notice, buried in the back of the paper. So, they banned together and will present their concerns to the Board of Zoning, tonight. Residents say they're concerned about health, rodent, insect infestation and fire hazard issues. Plus, they say their property value will decrease. Residents say they're shocked the site was already cleared -- even though the zoning meeting is scheduled for tonight. For now, they say they'll wait to see what happens.
