Zanesville Police Raid Area Home For Drugs

Zanesville police chief Eric Lambes says two people are in custody in connection with a drug raid. Chief Lambes says this morning his department's narcotics unit and special response team served a search warrant on a residence at 1921 Tannehill street. Lambes says officers were searching for evidence linking the residence and its occupants to several drug investigation that are currenlty on-going. Lambes says officers recovered seven ounces of crystal methamphetamine, 5.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, liquid morphine, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. Zanesville police were assisted by agents of the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and detectives from the Reynoldsburg police department. Charges are expected to be fkiled on two occupants of the residents. There names will be released after the charges are filed. Chief Lambes says today's bust was important becasue it happened near Zanesville high school.
