Snow hadn't even hit the ground yet and people were streaming into grocery stores around the area. Many people say last night's predictions of a wintry storm blowing through the area was enough incentive to stock up on essentials. Milk, eggs, bread, road salt and meats -- no, not lunch meats, but steaks and ground beef -- were the main items being purchased, today. Grocery store employees say it's the same scenario every year -- people stock up as soon as the first flake of snow appears. Many customers voiced concerns about impending weather as they shopped. Store employees say some people did show up to buy food for their holiday feasts, but people stocking up for the storm far outnumbered people stocking up for Thanksgiving.
