An area man who escaped from the Noble county jail two weeks ago is back in custody. Columbus police say they caught Jeramee Hudson over the weekend when he fell through the ceiling of a room at a motel where he had been staying. Hudson was being held in Noble county for a string of burglaries in Ashland, Delaware, Knox, Richland and Vinton counties. He and another man were arrested October eighth in Vinton county. Officials transferred Hudson to Noble county to be held until trial. On December first, Hudson was having a cigarette in an outdoor recreation area of the jail when he disappeared. Noble county sheriff Landon Smith says that before returning him to Vinton county, he wants Hudson back in Noble county to face escape charges.
