An out of state woman is lucky to be alive after she got lost and drove her car into a Perry county ditch. It happened overnight. The highway patrol says 72-year-old Mary Bothelho of Mansfield, Massachusetts was driving from Las Vegas to Massachusetts to deliver her late brother-in-laws car to family members. She was traveling on I-70, apparently exited onto state route 13 and was turning around in a restaurant parking lot when she went down a ditch. She called 9-1-1, told the Fairfield county sheriff's office her car was disabled and unsure of where she was. They in turn called the highway patrol and other law enforcement agencies. A passerby found Bothelho near the Midway restaurant 8 miles south of I-70 in Perry county. Bothelho was uninjured. She told authorities she was on her cell phone for four hours trying to help police find where she was located.
