Some changes are taking plave at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services...and the Zanesville branch is in the middle of implementing the new policies. Starting January 8th, every office across the state will close to the public on Wednesday afternoons. According to Jeff Bresock, office manager at the Zanesville branch, the closings will allow the department to "take the information that the customers are providing through the telephone system and give us four to five hours to be able to work to proceess the information." As mentioned a second change is the use of telephones to file unemployment claims. Bresock says the department is working to assist persons filing for unemployment by making the process easier and more user-friendly. To call to file an unemployment claim, call 1-877-644-6562.
