A nationwide security crackdown took place in the past, few weeks. Now that bomb sensors have been installed in most, major airports, travel industry leaders say travelers need to adhere to new rules and change some of their old habits. Because of revamped security, travlers should expect long lines and even longer waits to board planes, says travel agent Roseanne Diosi. But, that doesn't mean travelers should arrive right before the scheduled boarding time. Diosi says travlers should allow between 2 1/2 to three hours before boarding planes because checking-in is such a tedious process. Diosi says travlers should also come prepared. She advises people pack snacks, medicine, jewelry and an extra change of clothes in carry-on bags. Finally, be prepared for an overnight stay. Delays are likely since many people are traveling to, from and through Southeastern and Central Ohio. You'll get there eventually --whether you're on time or not.
