The Morgan county economy is taking another hit. A local plant has announced that it’s closing. Gould, which makes cooper foil for electronic circuitry will be going out of business. Plant officials told employees about the issue this week. Morgan county economic development specialist Jeff Shaner says Gould has had three or four major job cuts in the last two years. At its peak the company employed 215 people. This final layoff will affect around 65 workers.
