A local man who helped make a legacy in Zanesville is retiring. The Superintendent of Maysville Schools Hank Gavarkavich will no longer hold his position. After thirty years of wearing several hats in the Maysville Schools he has decided to turn the page to other options. Hank says he plans on staying in the area because he enjoys the community and his two children attend Maysville High School. He also says he will miss several things about his job. In his 5-year term as Superintendent, Gavarkavich oversaw the expansion of the school district, including new elementary and high school buildings.
