A well known Zanesville health care official has died. Bruce Evans, the executive director of the Genesis Health Care Foundation, lost his battle with cancer on Friday. Evans, headed up the Genesis Foundation for four years and before that was executive director of the Bethesda Health Foundation. Evans was very active in the local community, he served as president of the Zanesville noon rotary club,
was active in the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties and was a board member of the local Goodwill Industries. But, Evans will probably be most remembered for his great sense of humor. Calling hours are Tuesday from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Bruce Evans was 65 years-old.
