It was a day to remember one of their own. Firefighters, law enforcement officers, family and friends all gathered to honor a fallen Muskingum county sheriff’s deputy. Sunday the Harrison township fire department held an intimate dedication ceremony to remember lieutenant Mike Lutz and fellow firefighters. Harrison township assistant fire chief Scott Moore says the time was right for a Mike Lutz memorial. It will honor Lutz and any deceased fireman. Although it has been almost 10 years since Lutz was killed in the line of duty, the fire department felt the time was right to honor their one Philo Neighbor and friend. Lutz served as a firefighter for the department for several years.
