A blood shortage strikes South-Eastern Ohio and the entire nation. There are eight different blood types and out of the eight, six are critically short everywhere. Our local Red Cross supplies to 58-Hospitals and 27-Counties, and because the supply is so low their outstanding orders have been cut. Abby Corder a recruitment representative for Red Cross says although this problem has yet to affect the patients in our local hospitals, it raises strong concerns. If you would like to donate but aren’t sure if you qualify or if you just need more information you can call the American Red Cross at 740-452-2731… A donation station will be set up at McDonalds on Maple Avenue on Monday the 27th from 10am-4pm. Another booth will be set up on Wednesday the 29th at the Byesville Methodist Church in Cambridge from 11am-5pm.
