The New Lexington School District is holding a special election tomorrow to vote on the renewal of an exsisting levy that was defeated in this past November's election. The levy, which is a three mill operating levy over the next five years, was first approved in 1997 and is due to expire December 31st of this year. According to the school district's superintendent, the renewal of the levy will not result in new school taxes to district resdients. But if the renewal levy is defeated again it could have a huge impact on the New Lexington School District. The levy raises approximately 3-hundred thousand dollars.
