To counter the growing demands of manufacturing and production of its snacks, the Conn's Potato Chip Company is looking to move locations. The Zanesville-based organization had planned on moving to the Hartman Truck Center Building in Falls Township but those plans were thwarted by the discovery of 4-inch sewer lines. By E.P.A. standards, the lines need to be 6-inches. A second location has been chosen and is in the process of contratural negotiations. With the move, Conn's will be consolidating its Zanesville and Lancaster plants, affecting approximately ten jobs in Fairfield County. However Executive Diretor of the Port Authority Larry Merry said that approximately 25 new jobs will be created in the Zanesville location after the move.
