The Muskingum County Commissioners, along with commissioners from 11 surrounding counties, gathered together to discuss fiscal security. Attending a meeting held by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio, these local governements are able to share common problems and try to work toward mutual solutions. Since county governements depend on state funding to implement various programs, commissioners across the state of Ohio are feeling the affects of budget cuts. Today's meeting may just help some of these counties to effectively deal with the cuts and make the necessary adjustments. County commissioners from Meigs, Hocking, Perry, Fairfield, Licking, Washington, Morgan, Monroe, Noble, Guernsey, and Coshocton attended today's meeting.
