Morgan county highway employees continue to protest a proposed medical insurance cost increase. Morgan county highway department workers disagree with the Morgan county commissioners goal to put all county workers on the sale level of premium payment for insurance. The highway department employees who have been picketing in front of the Reiker complex on main street in McConnelsville, want to resolve the conflict surrounding their medical benefits. Previously the county paid 100 percent of the medical insurance. Now the county commissioners want employees who are in need to family coverage to pay 20 percent of the difference between the individual and family plan. The striking employees disagree with the insurance change and are back on the picket line this morning.
