Schools in southeastern Ohio and the rest of the state have certainly seen their share of snow days this year. School districts only get five calamity days. Therefore, many students and teachers are preparing to make up missed days during spring vacation. However, they may not have to. State representative Todd Book of Portsmouth is introducing a bill that says days lost from February 17th to the 28th would not have to be made up if they total more than three. For example, the Zanesville City School district has used four calamity days within that time period.
