If you were hoping for some disaster aid from the state of Ohio as a result of the big winter storms earlier this year, you can forget it. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has taken back its offer to help local residents. Earlier this week the state announced that Muskingum, Morgan, Noble and Guernsey counties would be eligible for the disaster funds. On Thursday they issued a press release saying no funds will be available. No reason was given. But, each of the mentioned counties will be able to apply for federal reimbursement of the cost associated with snow removal.
