Some Muskingum County residents are without water service tonight. The East Muskingum Water Authority says between 500 and 600 customers lost their service around 3:30 this afternoon. If you live in the Duncan Falls-Gaysport area you are likely affected. That includes residents on South Dietz Lane, Millers Lane from Wayne Ridge Road to State Route 60 South, Pine Knolls Sub-division and all of the Gaysport area. Water authority official Kelly Kanavel says crews were tapping a new water line from Millers Lane to Salt Creek Drive when an undetermined problem developed. Kanavel says water will be out for more of this evening. Then, once water is restored a boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
