A group pushing for lower prescription drug prices might run out of time to get the issue on the November ballot. Donald McTigue, an attorney for the Coalition for Affordable Prescription Drugs, says the petition drive will carry over into next year is necessary. The group wants the legislature to consider mandatory drug discounts. If lawmakers don't act, the group wants to put the question to a statewide vote. The petition drive has gathered about one hundred forty three thousand names. The group needs at least ninety six thousand seight hundred seventy valid signatures. A petition submitted last year was challenged.
