Charges Filed Against Nashport Man

Formal charges were filed Thursday against a Nashport man who is suspected of trying to break into a local convenience store. 32-year-old David Gibson is facing one count of attempted breaking and entering and one count possession of criminal tools. According to Detective Ric Roush, with the Zanesville Police Department, the suspect was spotted on the roof of the Clark Station on Putnam Avenue, just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. Zanesville police arrested Gibson after a witness called police to report suspicious activity at the station.
