“It sounded like a train”, that’s how one person described last night’s storm that screamed into Muskingum County. This morning, the Muskingum Valley Red Cross says around 20 homes were damaged. Executive director Dan Hartman says the worst damage may have happened at 1805 Richvale Road, where a mobile home was destroyed. There are also reports of damage on Dresden Road, the Kimes Road area, and Piper Road. There are no reports of injury. The question of whether or not it was a tornado remains to be answered. That determination must be made by the National Weather Service. The storm slammed into our area between 9:30 and 10:30 last night. Clean up is now underway.
