If you’re heading to Washington D-C soon, you’re in luck. Public tours of the U-S Capitol are resuming effective today. Ohio Congressman Bob Ney is chairman of the House Administration Committee, which oversees the tours and capitol security. Ney says with the war in Iraq winding down and a lowered threat level in place for Washington, security officials at the Capitol will be able to handle additional visitors. All tours, expect those led by Congressional staff members, had been shut down on March 20th for the start of the war. Tours of the White House also are resuming soon. The public can visit Washington’s other big tourist draw starting this coming Tuesday.
