The city of Zanesville is waiting for a response from the Environmental Protection Agency to continue with their plans to build the 146/60 connector road. For the past couple of years, city hall has been working dilligently on plans to build a road that will connect state route 146 to state route 60. According to mayor Jack Fenton those plans could soon be a reality. Most of the ground work for the new road project has been completed. The only thing that the city needs from the EPA is clearance on one of the submitted design options. Also, Fenton says that construction in the 146/60 connector road could take place as early as spring of 2004.
