Ohio Congressman Rob Portman wants $195 million dollars to keep the National Youth Anti-Drug Campaign going for another five years. Portman and Congressman Elijah Cummings of Maryland introduced a bill Friday that would recognize the campaign, which is run by the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Port says the ads are an effective way to educate parents and kids about the dangers of drug use. The ads would be created by the Partnership For A Drug-Free America, which will match funding from the federal government dollar for dollar. The anti-drug media campaign started in 1998 and has produced more than 200 commercials.
