Excessive speed may have led to an accident Friday afternoon where a Zanesville man overturned his car. That’s according to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol. The accident happened at three in the afternoon at the intersection of Richvale Road and Northpoint Drive. The patrol says 34-year-old Howard Perone was traveling southbound on Northpoint when his car skidded, went off of the road, hit a ditch and overturned. Perone told troopers he swerved to keep from hitting another car. Troopers say Perone was speeding, he’s been cited with failure to control. Perone was not injured.
