A fishing trip turned deadly for an Ohio man. According to Sgt. Cobel with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Department, 18-year-old Reuben D. Yoder and 32-year-old Melvin A. Raber both of Holmes County were fishing in a part of the Woodbury Wildlife area. The two men split up and agreed to meet later in the afternoon. When Raber did not show, Yoder searched the banks of the lake and spotted his body floating in the water. Yoder called the sheriff’s department shortly after 2:30 p.m. Dispatchers talked him through CPR to no avail. Raber was pronounced dead at the scene by County Coroner Dr. Glenn at 4:00 p.m.
