A home set to be demolished later this week as part of the Greenwood Revitalization Project went up in flames Monday afternoon. The home, located at 990 Greenwood Avenue, and its east side neighbor both caught fire. According to Assistant Fire Chief Bruce Burley, the fire was intentionally set in the upstairs bedroom. No one was injured in the fire, which took about ten minutes to extinguish. The abandoned home, and its west side neighbor were both demolished Monday evening to make sure the fire was not reset. The fire remains under investigation.
