A new play comes to Zanesville and those who attend will get a chance to dance the night away. Dr. Joe Porter is a retired orthopedic surgeon who has always had a love for theatre. After his retirement, he went back to college and learned more about music. Then he wrote a vibrant play full of live music. Now, for the first time, his labor of love is ready for the public's eye. The play is called “Swing Band”. The play dates back to 1934 in New York. During the performance, the Rick Sincox band will provide old tunes along with a variety of surprising entertainment. At the end of the play the audience is invited to dance along with the band to swing music. Tickets are ten dollars and are available at Secrest Auditorium. You can catch the play this Friday or Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m.
