Congested traffic slowed even more along Maple Avenue in Zanesville Saturday afternoon. According to American Electric Power representative Vicki Malhosky, the cause of the outage is a broken cross arm. The outage affected 628 customers between the Country Fair Shopping Center to Leonard Road. AEP crews remedied the problem at about 7:00 Saturday evening. AEP also reported scattered outages on the north end of town. Malhosky says these outages are not related to the Maple Avenue problem. They will also be rectified in a swift manner.
