It’s been a long process, but Zanesville City Council approved raises for police officers and firefighters Tuesday night. The groups have been negotiating since last August. Approved are an annual four percent wage increase for the next three years, establishing holiday pay and health insurance costs for both the police and fire departments. Also at city council, members approved the city’s annexation of the Zanesville Art Center property in Falls Township and improvements to the boat ramp at Riverside Park.
