Community improvement projects are a part of climbing the ladder in Boy Scouts. 17-year-old Jake Gaswint of Tri-Valley High School is a life scout with local troop 174. Saturday with the support of volunteers, he refurbished the playground at Eastside Ministry. Gaswint and his crew placed plastic bumpers along the sidewalk in the play area. This project will assure Gaswint of an Eagle Scout Award, the highest honor a Boy Scout can achieve.
