Involuntary Manslaughter Indictment

A Franklin county grand jury has returned an involuntary manslaughter indictment and other charges against a Zanesville man accused of injecting a teen with a lethal dose of morphine at a party. The charges against 26-year-old Edward Williams the second follow an eight-month investigation by Reynoldsburg police into the death of 17-year-old Chris Miller of Pataskala. Williams also was indicted on charges of corrupting another with drugs, aggravated trafficking, tampering with evidence and aggravated possession of drugs. Williams allegedly injected miller with morphine at a party in Reynoldsburg last October tenth for a quick high. Miller went into a coma and died the next day. Miller was a promising athlete at Watkins Memorial High School in Licking County. He was playing semiprofessional hockey on two national junior-league teams.
