A modern-day wagon train has set off on its journey across the state to mark Ohio’s 200th birthday. The bicentennial train left Martins Ferry, Ohio’s first settlement yesterday and will arrive in New Paris on the Ohio-Indiana border on July 14th. The bicentennial wagon train: “The Path to Statehood,” is sponsored by the Ohio bicentennial commission and the Worthington Bicentennial Committee. The train will move through Muskingum County before it reaches its destination.
