The mother of a little boy who underwent surgery last week for his immune deficiency problem was sentenced to two years behind bars for trafficking crack cocaine. Nicole Sturkey-Goins is the mother of Maurice Sturkey. Maurice is battling a life threatening disease which doe not allow the body to produce white blood cells. Common Pleas Judge Butch Zwelling sentenced Sturkey-Goins on one count of trafficking crack-cocaine and two counts possession of drugs. The court also fined Sturkey-Goins 75-hundred dollars and suspended her driver’s license for three years.
