For the second year, the Zanesville Post of the American Legion is helping kids prepare to go back to school. The legion is currently taking donations and buying school supplies for Muskingum County children. Last year they filled 400 bags with supplies and are hoping to reach even more students with the program this year. If you need assistance with your children’s supplies, applications are available at the City Board of Education between now and August 15th. The legion is still in need of 2-pocket folder, crayons, and rulers that can be dropped off at the Zanesville Post. To make a monetary donation, or for more information, you can call 452-0994.
