A concrete mixing truck tied up part of Elks Run Rd. in Muskingum County for six hours Wednesday. According to the State Highway Patrol, at 2 p.m., 54-year-old Richard Holcomb was backing up in the truck when he drove into a ditch. That caused the road to close for about six hours. The concrete mixer was fully loaded. According to the Patrol, the cement was contained to the mixer, but it hardened and ruined the truck. The patrol cited Holcomb with failure to control and commercial vehicle overload. He was not injured.
