Muskingum County Prosecutor Mike Haddox says he’s pleased with the Ohio Supreme Court decision this week involving convicted cop killer Tony Gross. Wednesday, Ohio’s high court refused to reopen the appeal of Gross, who eight months ago had his death sentence set aside due to jury irregularities and other issues. Haddox says the case is far from over. He says he still plans to pursue the reinstatement of the death penalty for Gross. Gross was convicted in 1996 of the shooting death of Muskingum County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mike Lutz at a South Zanesville gas station.
