In closing arguments today, prosecutors said that a woman who was breastfeeding her baby on the Ohio Turnpike should be punished for putting her seven-month old daughter in danger. Assistant Portage County Prosecutor Sean Scahill says that Catherine Nicole Donkers' daughter could have been killed if they had even been in a minor accident. Donker testified that she nursed her baby while behind the wheel because her husband told her to do it. During preliminary motions, Donkers wouldn't speak until given permission by her husband, who was seated in the front row of the courtroom. The two belong to the First Christian Fellowship For Eternal Sovereignty, a group with a history of challenging state and federal laws. The 29 year old says she didn't believe she was breaking any laws and would never harm her baby. She's charged with several counts including child endangering.
