A new world record for potato chips appears to be in the bag. Representatives of five Ohio companies finished shoveling more than 1000 pounds of potato chips into a giant bag Friday at the Ohio State Fair. Their efforts should easily earn the new record for the World’s Largest Bag of Potato Chips. The previous champ in the Guinness Book of World Records weighs 450 pounds. Zanesville’s own Conn’s Potato Chip Company was among the five that sliced, fried and salted 288,00 chips for the record.
