The Speaker of the House has opened an Internet site in advance of an expected run for statewide office in 2006. Larry Householder must step down as Speaker after next year because of term limits. The site features a short biography, photos, news articles, old campaign commercials and a link to the Ohio House Republican Campaign Committee. Householder, a republican from Glenford, has expressed a desire to run for governor one day. He has not specified an office for the 2006 campaign, when the five statewide executive offices will be up for election. Attorney General Jim Petro, Auditor Betty Montgomery and Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, all republicans, have said they are interested in running for governor, but none has announced a campaign.
