Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich wants state regulators to tear up FirstEnergy Corporation’s operating license. Spokesman Doug Gordon says the Cleveland democrat will petition the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to revoke FirstEnergy’s right to operate in the Buckeye State. Gordon says Kucinich will release the petition at a news conference in Cleveland Wednesday afternoon. A copy of the complaint was not immediately available, but a release from Kucinich says it’s related to what’s described as mismanagement and a climate of putting profit above the public interest. Last week’s blackout left 50 million people from the Midwest to the Northeast in the dark.
