Zanesville Schools Receive Report Card

The Ohio Department of Education released school district report cards today and Zanesville receives a compliment. Between all the ceremonies of breaking ground for two new middle schools, State Superintendent of Public Instructions Susan Tave Zelman was on hand. She congratulated local officials on the improvements shown in area schools. She said that over three years, Zanesville schools showed ten points worth of growth, which is good compared to other school districts. Zanesville Superintendent Michael Pockl said scores are at a four year high in areas like reading, writing and science.
