Good news for Muskingum County and their work with the Appalachain Regional Commission. As part of Appalachia, Muskingum County qualifies to get funding, both state and federal, for projects in our area. Today Joy Padgett, director of the governor’s office of Appalachia spoke at the Zanesville Rotary Club to address where the ARC has contributed. Projects include the East Point Industrial Park and the New Bakery area. Besides putting money back in the community, Padgett had some other comments for groups with ideas. She said if an organization has an idea, the best way to achieve the goal is through partnerships. That way it’s easier to spread the money around.
